Less Than 2 Weeks & Digging the Vaults!

Crikey, less than 2 weeks to go before our massive COR Future Space Disco!! To say it’s hectic here at COR towers is an understatement!!

But it’s all coming together nicely now – oh yes, have we got a show for you!! This is going to be a HUGE production, biggest we’ve ever tried to pull off (reeey!). You will not be disappointed.

Anyway, while we’ve been running around getting everything together, we’ve been digging back through the COR archives for a soundtrack to get busy to. We’ve not had time to put any new mixes together to promo this event, so we thought we might share with you some old COR gems from days gone by. First up is a total classic from COR ledge Matt Seeney. This was a promo mix Matt did ahead of our very first “Educating You Upstairs” party at The Wine Vaults way back in November 2008. Proper tasty number that take us from balearic to disco, bit of house and back to balearic again. Love this mix, cracking selection and some great memories. Hope you like it too.

Cheers Matt!

Big Love.

COR Space Cadets

Brave COR cadets ready for lift off. Party at the end of the universe #civilisationoftherough #disco #balearic #house #space

HELLO AUTUMN

Well, summer is well and truly over now. Autumn has properly taken hold and will be with us for a little while. So rather than mourn the passing of a wonderful summer, le

t us embrace the turning of the seasons and welcome in Autumn with open arms.

This Sat, 6th Oct, The Wine Vaults are having a HELLO AUTUMN party. 8 til late. Underground disco, house and good vibes from my well stock record bag all night long.

Hope you can make it along. Don’t fight it, autumn is here, come and help us welcome it in with open arms!

Have a gooden whatever you get up to.

Big Love.

The End is Nigh…

Thanks to everyone who popped along to the champagne bar last night, was another lovely evening, even though we had to rush the decks in to the tunnel at one point at the mild treat of rain! Thankfully it held off and all was good again.

Next week, Im sad to say, is the very last champagne bar of 2012 (Snif).

It’s been an amazing run throughout the summer months, but, alas, summer has now left us and autumn is drawing in, so the bubbly will shortly have to be put on ice until next summer. But that’s not before we see this wonderful Friday weekly out with a bang!

This Friday, 28th Sept, we invite you all to join us for the end of season closing party. Pretty much the same format as most weeks, only this week we will be clearing space for a dancefloor, the tunes will be a little more party and we will be going all the way through til midnight!

We want to see the wonderful champagne bar out with a bang, so if you’ve enjoyed a Friday night at the castle over the summer months or you’ve not yet had a chance to pop in and give it a go, get yourself down for this final blow out of 2012!

Get involved, spread the word, tell your friends, bring them along – Oh yes this will be good.

All the details here - https://www.facebook.com/events/324832750928314/

Hope you can make it along and help us say good bye to the champagne bar unti next year.

Big Love.

Persaud back at the Champagne Bar…

Well, it only seems like yesterday we wheeled out the decks for the first weekly champagne bar at the castle all those months ago. Who would have know then it would have found such favour with you lovely lot!

Thanks for all your support thus far, it really is hugely appreciated. Although the end in near, it is FAR from all over yet however.

A massive thanks to Rossko for standing in last week. I’ll be back on record duty this Friday from 6-9pm with a bag load of deep delights. There’ll also be plenty of drinkies to chose from as always, but the paella this week will be absent as we are treated instead to some delicious tapas! Yummers. Looking forward to that.

Now if your week has been even half as busy as most, you’ll no doubt need to take sometime to shake off the worries of the week, wind down into the weekend ahead and generally put it all behind you until Monday. A well earned end of week tipple, some deep tunes and some tasty tapas (should you feel a little peckish that is) in the beautifully historic surround of Henry VIII’s finest of fortresses could be just the ticket.

Pop along and join us, leave your troubles at the drawbridge and sink on in to the weekend.

All the details here - https://www.facebook.com/events/324832750928314

Hope you can make it along, would be great to see you there.

Roll on Friday.

Big Love.

Rosko at the Weekly Champagne Bar!

Another week, another champagne bar at the wonderful Southsea castle!

This week I’m playing records in Bournemouth, so my COR disco brother Rosko will be stepping up and standing in this Friday.

If you’ve been a bit of a Bestival casualty this week, this will be the perfect wind down in to the weekend after a week of work that was no doubt quite a struggle! It’s also Southsea Fest on Sat, so what better way to ease yourself in to the weekends shenanigans?

Bubbles, beers, vino – whatever you fancy really, as well as some very delicious paella and some equally delicious deep tunes will be on offer, hope you can make it along!

Have a good one.
