♥ The Great Easter Bonnet Boutique Returns! ♥

The Civilisation Of the Rough’s ‘Great Easter Bonnet Boutique’ returns this Easter Sunday, 8th of April, with much pomp and ceremony as we welcome a HUGE guest TERRY FARLEY to grace our lil soriee by the sea. A true legend from the world of House, we are VERY excited with this booking. Have a little FAITH this Easter Sunday, this will be a COR House party to remember.

Oh, and lets not forget the the importance of the Bonnet! We’ve have some splendid Bonnets through the door in years gone past and I hope this year will be no exception. Build your bonnets, loud and proud, make it one to remember. The best and most creative millinery will be winning a prize. Oh yes, the Easter Bonnet will be Great again. Get Involved!

Mix in to this the usual COR productions values, we will be transforming the Vaults in to an underground House party paradise with full COR decor, some of the best sound systems on the South Coast, projections, props, Easter Egg hunt, Blanket forts, the works. And got something VERY special to announce next week too! Stay tuned. You know how it works by now, you will not be disappointment. This is gonna be BIG.

COR is a non-profit party, all proceeds go back into the party to make it the best soiree possible, and should there be anything left over we give it to a local cause. Wowzers! What a night!! Proper Boxing Day disco smash!

Massive thank you to LEO ZERO for totally owning the main room with a wonderfully eclectic set that completely destroyed the DF, and of course to ALL of you who came down, supported us and completely went for it!!

We are so lucky to have such an amazing crowd! So much love and smiling faces throughout the venue. You’re the best crowd on the south coast and an absolute pleasure to play to, and for that all of us here at COR Towers are truly thankfully. THANK YOU!!

Huge apologies to the very few people who had problems on the door. I can’t tell you how hugely gutted I am and massively sorry that happen. It shouldn’t have happened and I will be addressing with the venue so it wont happen again. I will also be in touch personally with those effected to apologies. We really are truly sorry. Hope we can make it up to you.

So, next up for a big full monty COR soiree will be Easter Sunday. The Great Easter Bonet Boutique will be returning to our beloved Southsea and we will be pushing the boat right out once again. It’s another Boxing Day sell out!!

Thanks to EVERYONE who got tickets, all of us here at COR towers are hugely thankful. We will make this the best one yet for ya!

It’s all coming together beautifully! Just taken delivery of more red light bulbs than a Dutch brothel, three bags of parachutes, lighting gels, material to make curtains – the list goes on! The projections are being finished today and we’ve also confirmed two of Portsmouth’s top film studios to come and shoot the night for us! All exciting stuff! The COR fam hav got their work cut out on Boxing Day to get The Vaults looking unrecognisable, but its gonna be WELL worth it!! You will love it!! Tickets have gone mental this week, but still a few left if you’ve not grabbed yours yet. This is gonna be another COR sell out. Get to know and get involved!

COR Family in the House

As well as Mr Jarvis, you will of course have all 7 of the COR Fam on standby to take respective turns at throwing down each of their individual takes underground disco to keep the COR DF burning til the end.

Our boxing day parties, other than being a cracking post Christmas blow out, it also marks our anniversary. 2007 we started in the basement of The Jolly Sailor on Boxing Day with just 100 guests kicking balloons to the chug of underground disco on the brand new COR DF under the light of Mr Seeney’s tiny disco ball with a torch shining on it. What a journey it’s been since then. Big fun all the way without doubt and not only that, some how we’ve managed to amass one of the most loyal, friendly and loving following we’ve ever seen in all our amassed years of messing about at this DJ lark. We really are very lucky.

Hello COR Scallies and Disco Bunnies, hope all is peachy with you all.

It been a long time coming, but it’s finally here – We’re launching our very own COR mix Album!

We wanted to put something together between the 7 of us that not only mean something to us but would also help sum up the essence of COR journey thus far. … So, we each picked two of our favourite all time tracks (not an easy job at all I can tell ya!) and handed them to Mr ‘Uncle Welshy’ Windsor to take into the studio to mix up a storm.

After numerous visits studios and one completed album that we decided to bin as it didn’t quite meet our rigorous COR quality control (it was good but not quite good enough!) we finally have a completely polished, COR approved 1hrs 19mins and 48sec disco journey for your personal delectation and delight, straight from the hearts of the COR Family.

This is not your straight forward mix album, oh no. Many hours of production have been lovingly poured into the making of this, including a number edits and reworks to harmoniously pull the wide spanning reach of the tracks in the playlist together. Leon, you’ve done a sterling job sir. We hope you like what you hear.

We are properly going to town for this very special occasion. Sound is going to be top draw, full COR décor and backdrop and ALL of the 7 COR Family will be on duty to take the roof clean off. This is gonna be a feast for the senses in a true COR intimate soiree stylee. It really is gonna be a belter. Don’t miss out!!

We’re keeping this an intimate affair will just 100 tickets available. If you want to get involved please get your ticket as soon as possible, this will sell out and it will sell out quickly. We promise this is not some sort of promoter scarcity tactic, we’ve had a boat load of interest in this soiree with people already waiting for tickets. So, where’s the secret location of the Great Easter Bonnet Boutique with Ibizan ledge DJ Alfredo this Easter Sunday?? You probably guess from the picture, COR are taking over The Kings in Albert Road. And it’s not just the upstairs club space we have, oh no. We have the whole place, upstairs and down. We will be turn the whole venue in to a full on underground night club, with decor that pays a chunky nod to 2001 : a space odyssey. You won’t recognise the place. This will be our very own 2010 : a balearic odyssey! We will be bringing in our own er-maze-in sound rigs for both upstairs and down, you will not be disappointed with the sound. We have also hired 2 huge air con machines to draw the hot air out of the upstairs plus two giant fans to keep you all cool. We are all so very excited about this one here at COR Tower and we are pulling out ALL of the stops to make this our best party yet! DJ Alfredo, birthday boy Rosko and mixing boy Leon Windsor will be playing upstairs, boss man Percy Fox, disco vet Steve Laming and Mark Persaud will be manning the disco DF downstairs. Plently of hands in the air moments await. Get to the secret location for 6pm if you wanna get your bonnet in with a chance of winning the 3 nights trip to Ibiza.
