Calling all Pompey House Vetrans!! Have we got something VERY special for you.

Pure Sex ledge STU RISING has been digging elbows deep in the archives of late and has pulled out some wonderfully historic house gems for our listening delectation and delight.

And delight it most certainly was listening to this mix by Colin Hud at the second Pure Sex party from way back in 1993.

It can not be played down how important Pure Sex was in the history of house music in Portsmouth. Pure Sex played such a pivotal roll in not only my house music education, but many others in and around our fair city.

These parties will be fondly remembered by many for a very long time to come. To be able to tap into this wonderful part of growing up in Portsmouth is certainly a treat indeed.

As you may or may not already know, COR disco brothers Rosko Sifferedi and Mark Persaud have kicked off a side project called The Cabaret Voltaire to scratch their underground disco and deep house itches between COR soirees.

To give you an idea of the sound of cab-vol, Mark put this mix together. Was only supposed to be a 60min mess around as a promo for the next party (Sat 27th Oct, click here for the details), but he got a bit carried away, so now you have a 2hrs+ disco mix with a housey tint for your aural pleasure.
