Hello COR Party Contingent, hope this message finds you very and as excited as we are here at COR Towers about our forthcoming Easter Bonnet balearic odyssey as we are! With just over a week to go we though we’d start to get you into the balearic mood with some very old mixes from our Easter Bonnet Headliner, the legendary Ibiza spinner, DJ ALFREDO!! He put these together in 1985 at Amnesia. You can stream from the players below, but well worth also taking a minute to look at the site itself. It’s on the wicked testpressing.org site and this particular page has some wicked old pics of people raving on the White Isle at the end of the 80’s. Fookin love it!!

With the imminent visit of Ashley Beedle to COR’s GETTANO looming ever closer (Sat 27th Feb), we here at COR towers thought you might like to hear some of the man himself. Those of you familiar with Mr Beedle’s work (and I know that would be a fair few of you!) will know that he is arguably king of crossing genres. Not satisfied contributing some of the House scene’s highlights over the years,  Ashley Beedle likes to dabble with disco, reggae, pop, acid jazz, rock and roll – the list goes on. To showcase this genre spanning taste, Mr Beedle began last year to produce the start of a series of podcasts entitled ‘Ashley Beedle’s Space Programme‘. These podcasts are essentially mixes by Ashley Beedle, laying out tracks from the many different genres he has an interest in. You can grab an earful of part 1 and 2 below – Enjoy!

Fresh home after knee surgery, Civilisation Of the Rough stalwart Mark Persaud hobbles up to the ones and twos and knocks up this lil prelude to the COR Boxing Day Bonanza smash up on, erm, boxing day. This disco mix goes from the underground to the party, the stripped back to the soulful, has a flirt with some old school house and even chucks in a bit of pop for good measure (are we aloud to say that?!). All done in the best possible taste though you understand. COR massive, hello to you. Got a treat for ya. This has been circulated amongst the COR party contingent once before, but it was a long time ago now and before we had a website.
